New York-based trumpeter and composer Josh Deutsch leads an all-star

quartet with long-time collaborators Torrey Newhart, piano; Sean Peterson,

bass; and Ken Mastrogiovanni, drums. Deutsch has performed with many jazz

and world music visionaries – including Lila Downs, Sofia Rei and Dafnis Prieto.

For this show, the quartet will present Deutsch’s original music, along with

selected arrangements from great composers in the jazz canon. The audience

can also look forward to guest appearances from members of the University of Oregon jazz cam faculty.
